The “How to talk to be understood” project is funded by the Life Long Learning, Grundtvig (Learning Partnership) programme. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop in adults with autism one of the basic skills, i.e. social communication, by means of a multimedia didactic program prepared with international cooperation and released on a Multilanguage CD.
The aims of the project are:
- International exchange of experiences, work methods, and solutions concerning supporting social communication of autistic persons in partner countries.
- Creation of the multimedia program for social communication development.
- Increase of extra-institutional and lifelong learning availability for adults with autism.
- Development of workbench for people working with autistic adults’ group (assistants) based on international exchange.
- Improvement of autistic adults’ quality of life.
The project is targeted at high-functioning adults with autism who belong to disadvantageous disabled group because autism impairs communication skills, social interactions and cognitive functions and has strong impact on the independent life when the level of social demands increases.
